Following the successful introduction of the IC1007 grade, ISCAR is expanding the range of laydown threading inserts made from grade IC1007.

A hard submicron grain size substrate featuring very high deformation resistance with PVD coating and special post coating treatment. This provides improved flaking and chipping resistance, a combination which offers very reliable results.

New Tool Holder Systems for Turning Lathes and Multi-Spindle Machine Tools Carrying ISCAR’s MODULAR-GRIP Adapters Featuring Directed Internal Coolant Channels

Following the successful launch of the Modular Adaptations pilot program, in cooperation with ISCAR Germany, for tool holder systems that can carry ISCAR’s MODULAR-GRIP parting adapters, ISCAR proceeded by designing each tool holder system for a specific CNC and multi- spindle machine tool.

As a result, an exponential growth was achieved in the sales of DO-GRIP and TANG-GRIP MODULAR-GRIP adapters and inserts.

ISCAR is expanding the HELIDO 800 LINE by introducing the SOF45W-R26 new wedge clamped 45 degree cutting edge angle face mills.

The inserts on the new face mills are clamped by a wedge system, featuring high clamping security and edge location repeatability (both radial and axial).
The wedge clamping system enables quick and easy mounting and indexing of the inserts.

The new mills are intended for heavy duty machining which enables high metal removal rates (MRR), mainly for components made from steel and cast iron.

These economical, cost-effective milling tools can machine at high cutting parameters, dramatically increasing productivity.

The mills are available in a 100 -315 mm diameter range, with coarse and fine pitch configurations.

All the mills have seats to avoid deformation of the pocket and to ensure body protection.

ISCAR is expanding the SUMOCHAM drilling head options by introducing a revolutionary drilling head geometry that features chip splitting notches on the cutting edge and an impressed chipbreaker on the rake for superior chip control on a wide range of materials.

The new ICG drilling heads are available in 16 to 25.9 mm diameters, in 0.5 mm increments. Popular sizes are also available for Heat Exchangers.

The ICG drilling heads ensure hole tolerance of IT9-10. The ICG geometry should be regarded as a general machining option and is mostly recommended for drilling austenitic stainless steel where it can solve chip evacuation problems in deep drilling applications.

The new ICG drilling heads can be mounted on any SUMOCHAM standard drill body with the appropriate pocket size.
These ICG drilling heads are made from IC908 TiAlN PVD nano layer coated grade and feature:

Expansion of the NOTCH-GRIP Line for Standard Market Pockets

ISCAR is expanding the NOTCH-GRIP line for precision grooving and threading applications by adding new inserts and tools. The new families are fully compatible with standard market pocket sizes.

Grooving Inserts

ISCAR has added a large variety of grooving inserts with the following features:

  • 1.00 – 6.35 mm grooving width range
  • Shallow double-ended grooving inserts
  • Single-ended deep grooving inserts
  • Inserts with flat-top and neutral rake angle or positive rake angle
  • Inserts with full radius for grooving and profiling
  • Inserts for external undercutting

The new grooving inserts are available in 2, 3 and 4 pocket sizes, in ISCAR’s versatile SUMO TEC PVD coated grade IC807. IC807 is suitable for grooving and turning a wide range of materials at medium-to-high cutting speeds.

Threading Inserts

Double-ended, precision threading inserts for a large variety of the most popular industrial 
threading profiles. Available with the following features:

  • Inserts for internal and external threading profiles
  • Inserts with full and partial profile
  • Inserts with a flat-top neutral and positive rake or with a chipformer
  • Multi-tooth inserts

ISCAR is introducing the IC806 complementary SUMO TEC PVD coated grade for face grooving high temperature alloys, especially Inconel 718 and austenitic stainless steel.

IC806 Grade – A Winning Solution for Inconel and Stainless Steel Machining  ISCAR’s aim is to effectively machine Inconel and austenitic stainless steel and therefore has successfully developed grade IC806; a sub-micron grade with superior wear resistant properties and advanced PVD TiAlN. ISCAR’s SUMO-TECH coating exhibits better results when compared to competitor grades and other ISCAR grades.  These materials are extensively used in the food, chemical and medical equipment industries.

IC806 has a hard submicron substrate with PVD coating and a special post coating treatment that provides substantially improved tool life and better reliability.

Following market demand, ISCAR is expanding the options of the EC-H4S-CF endmills family by adding tools with corner radii to the already existing chamfered corner tools.

The new EC-H4S-CF endmills with corner radii are available in 6.0, 8.0, 10.0 and 12.0 mm diameters.

EC-H4S-CF tools feature 1xD short cutting edge length, hub section diameter 7% larger than the  regular-type endmills and a radial relief angle that features a single-angle unlike the regular-type with three relief stages.

All the above led to a stronger tool design and reduced production costs that enabled price reduction.

The new tools are made from grades IC608 and IC900, recommended for hardened steel (IC900 for up to 45 HRC and IC608 for 45-60 HRC) and milling alloy steel at moderate to high cutting speeds.

The new EC-H4S-CF tools should be offered against the competitor’s exchangeable head tools and for short (1xD) D.O.C. applications that require round corners.

ISCAR is introducing MTR spiral flute reamers for 1 to 12 mm H7 through hole diameters in high speed reaming.

The new 59805… reamers feature a coolant groove along the shank side (apart from
1.0 to 3.5 shank sizes) and are available for a hole diameter range of 1 to 12 mm H7 standard hole tolerance.

The new reamers are coated with an ultra-thin PVD process which provides outstanding performance.

MTR reamers complement the BAYO T-REAM left flute reamers for through hole applications that are available in the diameter range of 11.5 – 32 mm for high speed reaming.
