Wendt (India) Ltd, part of Murugappa Group, has entered into an agreement with a leading Diamond Tool manufacturer, Star Diamond Tools Pvt. Ltd for the acquisition of the Diamond Dressing Tools business.

The value of the transaction envisaged is approximately Rs 3 crore and the conclusion of the transaction is subject to fulfilment of certain conditions in due course.

This acquisition is proposed to be made to enhance the company’s offerings in the field of stationery dressers. It would augment Wendt’s existing manufacturing capability and capacity.

Star Diamond Tools Pvt. Ltd is a closely held company having its manufacturing facility in Deonar, Mumbai. It was promoted by Girish Zaveri a pioneer in this field for over 50 years. The company is a leader in its field in India and exports its products to the US and Europe.

Wendt India, a leading manufacturer of Super Abrasive Grinding wheels (Diamond and Cubic Boron Nitride), Special Purpose Grinding Machines and tools has launched The WRS300NH, Precision Horizontal Spindle CNC Rotary Surface Grinder and Precigrind, Precision CNC Cylindrical Grinding Machine during the ongoing IMTEX exhibition at BIEC, Bangalore. The company is available at hall no 4 stall A106. The wendt booth also features E3500TS Precision CNC Twin Spindle
Vertical Honing Machine.

The WRS300NH, Precision Horizontal Spindle CNC Rotary Surface Grinder is equipped with CNC Rotary Surface Grinder with Siemens Control System and linear bearings/turcite lined guide ways. The machine also features custom built rotary table of diameter 600 mm / 630mm with special design thrust bearing and belt driven grinding spindle. It has pneumatic retraction system for vertical axis and optional dynamic balancing & in-process gauge for sizing The company also offers customized tooling and tailor made Diamond/CBN/Abrasive wheels for specific applications.

Precigrind, Precision CNC Cylindrical Grinding Machine is ideal for precision grinding of circular parts. The machine features 3 axis machine with Siemens 828D controls. It also has angular/straight arrangement of Wheel Head and V and Flat turcite lined guide ways for table movement. The Work holding arrangement through live / dead center Hydraulic operated tailstock. Dynamic balancer, flagging unit and steady rest is optional.
