While hydraulic workholding is high in fixturing cost and requires cumbersome maintenance, manual workholding is low in setup efficiency and requires much time for part loading/unloading.

One-Touch Clamps are handle-operated clamps developed on the basis of these issues that end customers face. Workholding with One-Touch Clamps are much better in setup efficiencythan conventional manual worholding and much inexpensive than hydraulic workholding.

In Comparison with Hydraulic Workholding,

  • Approx. 1/3 of Fixturing Cost
Simple construction for slashed fixturing cost and time

    <Hydraulic Workholding>
    Fixture plate : JPY 270,000
    Fixturing components : JPY 300,000
    Assembly cost : JPY 150,000
    Total JPY 720,000
    <Workholding with One-Touch Clamps>
    Fixture plate : JPY 100,000
    Fixturing components : JPY 130,000
    Assembly cost : JPY 20,000
    Total JPY 250,000
  • No plumbing needed.

In Comparison with Conventional Manual Workholding

  • 3 Times Setup Efficiency
Quick part loading/unloading by operating the handle.
  • No tools needed
Clamping just by operating the handle.
Perfect for frequent part loading/unloading. Slashed setup time and increased productivity.

Other Features

  • Positive Clamping
The spiral-cam mechanism provides secure clamping without loosening due to machining loads and vibrations.
  • Optional Handles
Adjustable-torque style that allows adjusting clamping force, and plug-in style that can be removed as needed.

Solution 1

ADJUSTABLE-TORQUE HANDLES allows setting a desired tightening torque.

[Conventional Problems]
Tightening force depends on the operator.
Applying too much force causes scratches or damages and lack of tightening causes rattling.

Solution 2

The handle clicks to indicate completed tightening.

[Conventional Problems]
Recognizing to reach a desired torque is impossible.

Solution 3

The handle position is adjustable.

[Conventional Problems]
Turning the handle in a confined space is difficult.
When the handle is lifted, the teeth disengage from the locking element to adjust the handle position.

How To Set Torque

The preset torque is roughly its maximum tightening torque.

1. Loosen the locking screw by inserting a hex. wrench into the underside of the body.

2. Adjust the torque by turning the torque-adjusting screw in the side of the body.

3. Measure the torque with a torque wrench.
Connect a torque wrench to the Adjustable-Torque Handle.
Apply a load in the tightening direction, and fine adjust the depth of torque-adjusting screw to reach the desired torque when the handle clicks.

4. When the desired torque is reached, tighten the locking screw.
