Expansion of the NOTCH-GRIP Line for Standard Market Pockets

ISCAR is expanding the NOTCH-GRIP line for precision grooving and threading applications by adding new inserts and tools. The new families are fully compatible with standard market pocket sizes.

Grooving Inserts

ISCAR has added a large variety of grooving inserts with the following features:

• 1.00 – 6.35 mm grooving width range
• Shallow double-ended grooving inserts
• Single-ended deep grooving inserts
• Inserts with flat-top and neutral rake angle or positive rake angle
• Inserts with full radius for grooving and profiling
• Inserts for external undercutting

The new grooving inserts are available in 2, 3 and 4 pocket sizes, in ISCAR’s versatile SUMO TEC PVD coated grade IC807. IC807 is suitable for grooving and turning a wide range of materials at medium-to-high cutting speeds.

Threading Inserts

Double-ended, precision threading inserts for a large variety of the most popular industrial 
threading profiles. Available with the following features:

• Inserts for internal and external threading profiles
• Inserts with full and partial profile
• Inserts with a flat-top neutral and positive rake or with a chipformer
• Multi-tooth inserts
• Regular and fine pitches

The threading inserts are available in ISCAR’s versatile PVD grade IC908, suitable for threading in a wide range of materials at low-to-medium cutting speeds.

Tools

The inserts can be clampped on any exsisting standard market pocket tool. In addition we are offering the following tools:

• External tools for double-ended deep grooving inserts
• External tools for the short grooving and threading inserts
• External tools for grooving and threading applications, for Swiss-type machines
• External tools for undercutting applications
• Internal tools with through coolant, for grooving and threading applications
• Interchangeable heads for grooving and threading applications
• Steel shanks with through coolant for interchangeable heads
