{"id":1006,"date":"2014-08-12T19:06:04","date_gmt":"2014-08-12T19:06:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mfgtechupdate.com\/?p=1006"},"modified":"2014-08-12T19:06:04","modified_gmt":"2014-08-12T19:06:04","slug":"renishaw-to-present-new-metrology-developments-at-imts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mfgtechupdate.com\/renishaw-to-present-new-metrology-developments-at-imts\/","title":{"rendered":"Renishaw to Present New Metrology Developments at IMTS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Renishaw is due to highlight the effect of new developments in metrology on aerospace manufacturing at the 2014 International Manufacturing Technology\u00a0Show (IMTS) in Chicago this September.\u00a0Tarquin Adams, Renishaw&#8217;s Group Communications Manager, will be speaking at the Trends in Advanced Machining, Manufacturing and Materials (TRAM)\u00a0conference as part of the company&#8217;s presence at IMTS.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mfgtechupdate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/renishaw13.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1016\" src=\"http:\/\/mfgtechupdate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/renishaw13.jpg\" alt=\"renishaw13\" width=\"180\" height=\"191\" \/><\/a>He said, \u201cThe presentation will show how new developments in metrology enable significant enhancements to the control of machining processes, robust\u00a0and versatile shop floor gauging and radical reduction of inspection cycle times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cIt will also show automated alignment of blade parts during both manufacturing and inspection cycles and include a look ahead at\u00a0Renishaw&#8217;s involvement in additive manufacturing for aerospace applications.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>TRAM is a 2-day conference program which will focus on transferring advanced manufacturing technologies to the business managers and engineers who lead\u00a0the aerospace manufacturing industry. Mr. Adams&#8217; presentation will take place on Wednesday September 10th at 3:25pm. Also appearing at TRAM are\u00a0representatives from household names like Boeing, Airbus and BAE Systems.<\/p>\n<p>Renishaw has had a presence at IMTS for over 30 years and this year, in addition to Mr. Adams&#8217; presentation, the company will have a booth showcasing a\u00a0wide range of its world leading metrology products.
