{"id":7229,"date":"2015-12-07T06:30:48","date_gmt":"2015-12-07T06:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mfgtechupdate.com\/?p=7229"},"modified":"2015-12-07T06:30:48","modified_gmt":"2015-12-07T06:30:48","slug":"iscar-is-expanding-the-tnf-single-ended-inserts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mfgtechupdate.com\/iscar-is-expanding-the-tnf-single-ended-inserts\/","title":{"rendered":"ISCAR is expanding the TNF single-ended inserts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISCAR is expanding the TNF single-ended inserts for face grooving with a tangentially oriented pocket by adding 5 and 6 mm width inserts.<\/p>\n<p>The TANG-GRIP Face Line includes single- and double-ended blades and inserts in 3, 4 and new 5 and 6 mm widths in the most advanced IC808 SUMO TEC grade.\u2028The TNF inserts are available in two chipformer configurations:<\/p>\n<p>TNF-P-IQ &#8211; for machining steel\u2028TNF-M-IQ &#8211; for machining stainless steel and high temperature alloys<\/p>\n<p>The blades are in a standard size, which fit ISCAR\u2019s standard blocks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FACE-GRIP System Features <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Very rigid clamping in a tangentially oriented pocket<\/li>\n<li>The face grooving penetration diameter range of TNF 5 and 6 mm inserts is 45 to 700 mm<\/li>\n<li>Enables machining at very high feed rates and interrupted cuts, providing excellent surface finish<\/li>\n<li>Offers a free, unobstructed chip flow since there is no upper jaw as in the other clamping systems \u2028(very important in deep grooving applications)<\/li>\n<li>The combination of tangential clamping and free chip flow results in very high reliability, \u2028improved tool and pocket life<\/li>\n<li>Provides a solution to the problem of inserts being pulled out during retraction<\/li>\n<li>The same insert can be used for both right- and left-hand tools<\/li>\n<li>Provides excellent performance on a wide range of materials and cutting conditions<\/li>\n<li>The tools are equipped with a user-friendly clamping and extraction device<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISCAR is expanding the TNF single-ended inserts for face grooving with a tangentially oriented pocket by adding 5 and 6 mm width inserts.
